The BAE-146's don't operate out of IAD (that's probably why you havent' seen them!). The only jets that ACA (Atlantic Coast Airlines--UA's IAD partner) operates are the CRJ-200's. The BAE-146's fly out of DEN and ORD to the larger of the small cities (is this making sense?) and are operated by Air Wisconsin.

I believe that the 146's are used by Air Wisconsin in Chicago (correct me if im wrong). Atlantic Coast Airlines is the Washingtom based express carrier, and they are flying the CRJ's instead of the 146's

The 146's are indeed flown by Air-Wisconsin, based in Appleton, Wisconsin. The fly from Chicago, but also into Denver. They have one flight that leaves Appleton in the morning to Milwaukee, then onto Denver. It then flies to Santa Barbara, CA. I always though that was a interesting that Appleton, Wisconsin had a direct west coast flight!
I believe Air Wisconsin has 18 -146's. They are grand-fathered in, but no more -146's can be added due to contract with main-line United Pilots.
Hope this helps. They are wonderful planes as I flew them all the time when I lived in Appleton for 16 months.

The BAe-146 are flown by Air Wisconsin, who is based in Appleton WI (ATW) and Denver (DEN). They fly to ORD, MLI, PIA, SBA, GEG. I'd have to ask my dad about the other destinations, since he flies the -146 for Air Wisconsin.
