Does anyone know why NW 69 routed to MSP before going on to Kansai today (2/19)? I figured that DTW had reserve crews so I can't imagine it was crew related and judging by the routed, that it was planned to do this.

Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing! It's a bonus if you can fly the plane again!!

according to my GDS, it's listed as a diversion due to Airport conditions. It stayed on the ground at Msp for almost 1h20m before continuing on to Kix. I can only guess that predicted conditions at KIX would be unacceptable for safe operation, as they left the gate at DTW a minute prior to sked departure but it's nothing more than a guess.

Why are people so against low yields?! If lower yields means more people can travel abroad, i'm all for it
