There has been much "hype" for the new trans-polar flight paths opened recently ... for flights such as JFK-HKG nonstop. I believe that decades back, when Europe - Anchorage - Japan flights were frequent, they actually flew as north as a JFK-HKG flight. I vaguely recall a Swissair inflight magazine showing one route ZRH-ANC right across the geographic north-pole.
Does anybody know where to get maps with the actual flight paths (like HL flight charts) for the northern polar region?
