There are lots of airline ads on youtube but there are some that were filmed at EWR. Mostly dating back to the 1980s. It's pretty obvious and many are tacky. All you EWR buffs check them out. EWR was quite the filming location back then.

1. United: This one is pretty New Jersey from the beginning because you can see the NYC skyline, lots of greenery and the taxi rides through a toll. The exteriors of terminal A are featured.

2. United 1984: Interiors of Terminal A in the check-in area. Ad features UA's new service to ATL, LIT, MEM, and BNA, not from EWR but from ORD.

3. United: I'm not 100% but I'm pretty sure that this ad was filmed in one of the UA satellites. You can tell because of the windows.

4. United: This is a pretty ridiculous ad but has the walkway of one of the satellite spokes as well as a dolley shot the UA check-in area.

5. Piedmont: Features their gate area. Very 80s EWR.

6. Eastern: Movie Clip: And last but not least the most over the top and ridiculous clip of the day: a movie clip that features Eastern at EWR terminal B in "Outrageous Fortune." Lets just say you could never get away with something like this at EWR today:

Enjoy!

There's some movie from the late '70s that really gives Terminal A some good coverage, the TWA concourse had the red carpeting.

Also the Miami Vice episode where they go to NYC shows a lot of Terminal B and Eastern Air lines, Tubs almost missed the EA A300 back to Miami.

I regret watching that.

Thanks for sharing. Its nice to know the EWR hasn't changed that much.

I remember the TWA red carpeting through the late 90s when I flew SJU-EWR on AA. I think TW was in A-3?

HAHAHAHA I didn't catch onto that at first but yes it might be. Watching that clip again, I'm almost positive that it's A-1 at EWR.

It's a pretty bad movie, but it's hilarious how airport security was such a joke back then.

Ah, the days when you could go right down to the gate to see off or meet friends and relatives!

I think the EA 727 taking off was in MIA, but the terminal was EWR

My fav UAL commercial was from 1989 when the mommy drops her kid off in a chicago school and heads to NYC for a meeting and back to see the kid

Looking at the UAL commercial I possted from youtube. Ithink eh entire commercial was filmed at EWR. The flight the mom leaves on is UAL 64 at 0800 to LGA. But it is definitely not the UAL terminal at ORD.
