I received news at about 1200Z today, that a Lion Air MD90 made a prepared emergency landing at Batam Airport (BTH/WIDD) after its nosegear failed to extend.
I immediately checked for the NOTAMs and found:
Quote: B0329/09 NOTAMR B0328/09
B) 0902231309 C) 0902231500
E) RWY 04/22 CLSD DUE TO BLOCKED BY ACFT ONE MD90

Oops... made a few calls and it was confirmed...
Emergency crews foamed the runway and the landing went without any further mishaps, no serious injuries... phew... Aircraft was PK-LIO.
This is the umpteenth time Lion has had mishaps in recent times, in particular to its MD fleet.

Good job by the Pilot or who ever was in command. Looks like they had to circle around for quite a while to loose some fuel as the first photos are taken during the day and the others of the plane on the ground taken during the night (early evening).
Ground crews seemed pretty prepared for the emergency! Lots of ambulance personel with stretches etc. Great pics and link, thanks for sharing!
