Quoting Kleinsim (Reply 3): How many DAILY flights at CONSISTENT times are there on the Saudi Arabian Airlines network?!
One or two flights a day, half of which with a tag is not a service.
I was going to say the same thing...
why can't they offer a min of 3pw to each point with a consistent schedule?
I suspect its the sales team, saying things like..
"if we have x flight at x time once a week it connections with x, then a different day a different time for another connection etc etc.."

I saw a Saudi 757 in Madrid last week. I didn't know they had 757s in their fleet until then. When did they get them? Are they brand new? If not, from who did they get them? Are they flying scheduled services to Spain or was that a/c in MAD on a charter service?

SV has 2 B757 in their fleet. They are not brand new.
They are leased from Atlasjet (TC-ETG and TC-OGS)
Both are in a very bad shape. I flew them recently on JED-HYD sector.

I think they actually have four 757. Two are leased from Atlasjet and two are leased from someone else. They are wetleases to deal with Saudi Arabian Airlines' huge shortage of aircraft (part of which may be due to the fact that their route network is overextended). They've had them at least since last year. They only operate international routes save for the (not so) occasional JED-RUH or JED-DMM or RUH-DMM tag flight.

Thanks guys. Very interesting indeed. I know that they have an office in a major street in central Madrid. Didn't know they flew to Madrid until I saw them at the airport last week.
