Empty tanks are more combustible than full ones - JetA1 vapours are highly flammable.

Far too early to make these assumptions. Glad some folks made it out alive.

What do you mean you dont have any bourbon? Do you know how far it is to Houston? What kind of airline is this???

Aleksandar : According to CNN again, 5 people were killed in the accident My prayers go to the victims and their families. May God bless their souls
FVTu134 : Eye withness reports talking about nose pitching up, then down, then again up. Don't want to speculate to much but that kind of reports makes me think
Iberia340600 : CNN still saying no deaths.
Pilotaydin : well....to be honest, from the pics, people may be alive now, but maybe internal injusries will take her toll later on...because from the way she fell
LHR380 : If anyone was going to die, it would be the crew in the rear galley
1821 : My prayers and thoughts go out to you my brother. Soon i will start training on the 738.
Post contains links Jpiddink : Dutch public broadcaster NOS just (1 minute ago) showed pictures of pax being evacuated in busses. Broadcast live on internet via http://www.nos.nl/jo
LTBEWR : Not much on CNN here in the USA, on this crash, guess since no Americans on board and outside the USA. Some pictures on CNN, but other media is pretty
Kiwiandrew : surely no one would be in the galley during approach
Aleksandar : I am afraid you are right. The front section doesn't look good.... Dutch TV just said that AT LEAST 7 are dead....

OA260 : A Spanish guy sent in video footage from his mobile phone showing the relatives and friends waiting in the airport terminal.
LHR380 : Crew seats are in the rear galley against the bulkhead to the cabin. I hope they are ok.
Sketty222 : I noticed this pretty much as soon as I saw the pic. It is a long way from the a/c considering reports that the aircraft came straight down and there
Fkruiver : In the reargalley of a 737-800 are 3 or 4 crewseats.

OA260 : News conference at 1230 UK time at AMS
A3 : It looks like a very hard impact , i guess the damage would be grater if the soil the plane crashed was not that "fluffy" (as seen from the pictures)
