Reports are that 2 FedEx a/c, an A-310 and a 727, both went of the taxiway in YMX this morning. Engine damage on the Airbus and gear damage on the 727 are suspected.

The translation of the report implies that a warning was issued to not use that particular runway due to weather. A bit premature, isn't it ?

My definition of cool ? Not trying so hard to be cool.

Quoting Falcon flyer (Reply 1):

What is premature? Our DC-8 crew saw with their own eyes the damage on BOTH a/c.

Rough translation from the original French incident report on the A310 in the Transport Canada occurence reporting site (can't find anything yet referring to a 727):

Due to freezing rain which made Mirabel (CYMX) taxiways slippery, an Airbus 310 operated by Federal Express slid off a taxiway and damaged the right engine. Taxiway INDIA was closed to remove the aircraaft. The TSB has sent two investigators.

Easy. That's not what I was referring to. The report implying that the crew landed on that runway despite a warning being issued against its use merely hours after the incident is what I was talking about. Judge and jury before the dust even settled.

Thanks for the links, neither planes seem to been heavily damaged.
