The United "U", in my opinion, stands for Unity.

"United we stand, divided we fall."

Since the UAL organization is currently divided between not so amicable parties and interests, United is falling.

The should change their "U" to have it instead represent the individual pieces of the "U" falling down.

I have a brouchre that says taht founder of TACA, guy from New Zeland, said his pilots flew like "Parrots" (ie, not in a straight line), that's teh reason for the company's logo (parrot) and "red head" .

Probably still true today!
