N922WN aka SI1 is supposed to have the decal removed tomorrow... can anyone help to track it into BWI or IAD today or possible tomorrow?
A BUNCH of people in the DC area would owe you one!
TIA

I believe this decal was supposed to be on there for 2 months. March 11 will be one month with it on, so hopefully she sticks around for another month!

Would love to, but it's undoubtedly considered INTERNAL information with respect to new policies....

It was stated it would be applied for UP TO 60 days. I guess the publicity isn't worth the extra month.

And chances are better than not it woun't be back east next few days.

It was reported in the Norwegian media that alot of customers were upset with Southwest for putting this "soft porn" billboard ad on N922WN. Families with children are the outraged party here.

Sad if SWA succumbs due to this, because it's a very nice livery Smile

If the decal has to go, I think it is because many people in this this country are very prudish on anything remotely sexual and that they are some broads that are not the best looking and have an inherent contempt for women and dispise female beauty.

I hope Southwest can keep the decal for another month.

I'm the least prudish person here but I was hoping WN would keep their logo jets to state flags and whales. This seemed too much like a european gimmick, and I'm not sure anyone outside of the aviation community even cares. Maybe WN realized this and decided to pull the plug?

Unable.

From Southwest's blog:

"Sports Illustrated is meant for the filthy pleasure of men, and is quite offensive to most others"

Eeyikes. It's an attractive woman. On a plane. And I find it VERY hard to believe that it's quite offensive to most others. Complete prude. Ugh.

IMHO people these days need to complain and b***h about everything these days. Half the people (aside from myself and maybe other a-netters) can careless what airplane there on or what it looks like. Southwest could have put Mickey Mouse on the plane and would still offend people. Some people need to grow up,but unfortunately that will never happen.

I hope we never see these people its offensive to at the beach! God forbid their kids be exposed to such atrocities as a half naked woman with her privates COVERED!!! Don't expect to ever see them with a cable tv bill or even just a tv in their house, or even a computer cuz god forbid there are weight loss ads with just as much skin as this plane.

Makes WN sound like a bunch of hypocrites, in which they are...after what happened with Kyla Ebbert... Good god! Not very good for PR!

A Safe Flight Begins With Quality Maintenance On The Ground.

32 MSYtristar : I don't think it has to be that extreme. Not everyone has agendas or axes to grind. I personally like WN, but I just sort of find the whole scenario
