Looks like this flight today was swapped to an A330-300 Aircraft, Nice upgrade from the 757. Where is the plane going from LAX, I could not see it going back to MSP, unless it is
for positioning of International flight?

Thanks,

Aaron

Prolly going to ferry over to VCV afterward for DL colors.

That explains how this flight has been operated with an A330 several times a month since January...

Is there any way to know ahead of time when it will operate as an A330?

Scotty doesn't know...

DL is really pushing the A330's through the paint shop. Why aren't they pushing the 747's this hard? Are they trying to get alot of the 330s done so they can operate them on the JFK and ATL international flights?

Wingnut

Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing! It's a bonus if you can fly the plane again!!

Probably because in Europe where the A333's will mostly be, Delta is already known, where in Asia they are relatively little known, Delta has to be very careful in Asia getting rid of the NW name. Secondly, the A333's are going to fly more of the "Delta" routes ATL-LGW, ATL-FCO etc.

I would say they want as many repainted as possible prior to the busy summer Euro ops. Taking them out of service now is less disruptive.

Direct KNOBS, maintain 2700' until established on the localizer, cleared ILS runway 26 left approach.
