Does anyone here have first hand knowledge regarding the new law that requires everyone with U.S. passenger airport access to now be fingerprinted to check for any disqualifying convictions. My question pertains to whether the disqualifying convictions now bar you from forever holding an airport badge, or is it still 10 years as it has been? Part 107 and 108 specifically mention "for the previous 10 years", but I can find no mention of this time frame in the new ruling.
Also, will those that already hold an airport badge be required to submit their fingerprints when their ID comes up for renewal, or is this just for newhires?
Thanks for any and all information that you may have.
