Qatar Airways A340 In PHX

Hi Everyone,

I just got into PHX yesterday flew in on US #333 from JFK and seen a Qatar Airways A340 next to the Qatar B747SP. Does anyone know how long the A340 will be in PHX? Has anyone taken any photos of it either?

I saw the Qatar Airways A340-200 yesterday.
The aircraft is in the Qatar Airliways old livery and says Qatar Airways on it, however, I ma prety sure that airtcraft is solely used for the Qatar Amiri flight.
By the way that 747SP has been flying in and out of PHX for a couple of months now. Only once have I seen it in movement, taxiing past terminal4.

It's an Amiri Flight bird. Came in on the 16th from GVA, went on to LAX, then came back a few days ago. Reg is A7-HHK.

Correct. They have a A319, a global express, 340 and a 747SP. The SP is not in the new livery unlike the rest. Its easy to spot. I take it that the family was shopping or visiting doctors.

There's also a Mayo Clinic over in the Scottsdale area. And, without hesitation, PHX has better credability for warmer weather vs. RST.

I do not know whether it is in the Qatar Amiri flight to be honest. But by looking at reg I would say no. Personally ( having seen this great A/C) I like the current one very much!

These are Amiri airplanes, all used exclusively for VIP transport of the Royal family and sometimes governement dignitaries.

All operated by a totally seperate wing. QR livery for security reasons.

The 747SP is the personal plane of the Amir's father.
