Birmingham Post and, more important, Birmingham Airport itself report that "Akal Air" will commence service BHX - ATQ (Amritsar - Raja Sansi Airport) by April 4th with a B757-200. Flight to be operated via VIE twice a week (Wednesday and Saturday).
Anyone at Birmingham has more info?
The homepage of "Akal Air" looks terrific like the long lasting and dusty Air Sylhet page and it also says Akal Air, the trading style of Air Sylhet, will make a short non-transfer stop in Vienna before flying direct to Amritsar.
When I check the online timetable of Birmingham airport for BHX-ATQ flights it only shows T5 (Turkmenistan Airlines) with flights via ASB (Ashgabat Airport) .....

I did a tad of research and it came to the Vienna International Airport Wikipedia page, and it says: Akal Air operated by Air Sylhet (Amritsar, Birmingham) [begin 4 April].
If you look at the Akal Air logo it is basically the Air Sylhet logo, perhaps its either an airline that SL have started or it could be their new identity.
SL operate flights from MAN to DXB via VIE. SL hasn't actually started flying though, so maybe Akal Air is their new name. The airline is aimed at the British Muslim community, but I don't think there is much point, PK offer services direct to Pakistan from MAN, and other airlines like EK, AI, KL, AF, LH, QR and 9W.
