Add this one to the FR crap-pile:

Tried to make a booking on the website a few minutes ago. Entered card info and all, clicked the purchase key, clicked through the confirm thing, and now it completely locked me out of the website. It gave me a screen saying
"Your session has been locked

Please wait 10 seconds and if you are not redirected back click here."

Clicking the link goes nowhere. How long does it take to get unlocked, and why did I get locked in the first place? Is it because I'm in the US? Or because I used a US card? Or because O'Leary hates me personally and was upset about my not wanting to check any bags?

Any suggestions/commiserations are welcome (I haven't received any confirmation email of a booking and I'll monitor my card to see if it gets charged, but this is pretty baffling).

how unrespectful of you not wanting to check any bags!!!  Wink

but to get back to the topic, this also happened to me once, FR didn't charge anything for the first try. after one hour or two I tried again and the booking was done without any problems.

If you haven't received a confirmation email from FR within about 20-30 minutes it should be safe to try and re-book. You might want to check online (if you have access) to see if there are any pending charges for your credit card.

And remember to claim back your airport check in fees if you are a non EU citizen. It is not very well known, but FR will refund them as you are not allowed to use online check in unless you have an EU passport or ID card. If you need info on how to do this send me a PM (just got £19 back for my partner last week).

Thanks for the advice, especially on how long to wait on the re-book. As to the online check-in, they just changed it, so all can now check-in online except for a few things that don't apply to me.
