I was looking at some flights to SKG from ZRH via VIE for the summer and 772 came up as the equipment on one of the days in august. Does OS operate widebodies on such short flights to mediterranean destinations or is this just a possible glitch? Can SKG even support widebodies?

are you referring to flights OS9043 VIE 15:00 SKG 17:50 / OS9044 SKG 19:05 - VIE 19:55 operating on Thursdays?
These flights do operate with B772 as it is extraflights/additional flights - the normal flight is OS809 either with F100 or A319.

In the past there have also been OA 747s in SKG. I am not 100%, however I do believe they were used on flights from Canada. From Canada only and not to Canada. This was however for a very short period. I am sure someone on the forum may know better about this.
OS has also regularly sent widebodies to SKG as part of their summer schedules / charters to SKG including A340s.
The runways do have restrictions in SKG, however I understand that one of the runways has been or will be extended out into the bay to handle these widebodies without restrictions.
BTW - OS 777 have been to CFU as well and believe that QR once had a VIP A340 there.

Yeah, I might be wrong, but I believe this was done between 2003 and 2005. It's finnished, that's for sure.
