I have been trying to find flights between IAD-JNB on SA, and cannot. They all seem to go through JFK. Have they dropped the IAD-JNB route?

Thanks

It's on a seasonal change add i beleive only runs 4 days a week right now, check diffrent dates and it might help...It didn't run today but did yesterday...

I think SA is now 5 days a week from IAD. No flights Wednesday and Saturday.

SA 207/208 currently runs JNB-IAD-JNB except on Wednesday and Saturday (with some minor exceptions - the flight operates on Saturday Apr 18 and then swaps operating days here and there in May) and then returns to daily flights at the beginning of July.

Starting May 1 SA208 begins stopping in DKR on the way back to JNB, however you should have no problem booking flights on it now - just watch what days.

Why not try ET they fly 5x weekly IAD-ADD service with connection to JNB and the onboard service is good and on their website fares from IAD-JNB are from USD700!!!

Really? argh. That's just removed my primary incentive for flying IAD-JNB on SAA. The non-stop is great for business as I can sleep undisturbed for a good 8+ hours.

I hate those ridiculously irritating Dakar stops. Now, I'll rather opt for BA via LHR.

If you cannot do the math, your opinion means squat!

The JFK-JNB flight is now going non-stop....
