According to an article in ATWOnline such a line of credit is aimed at addressing concerns of potential buyers that ILFC might not be able to meet financing needs in the short term.

The Seattle Times carried this story the other day, which is where I first came across it. It's some good news since ILFC has been using their own cashflow to make current delivery payments.

I also saw in the same paper an article that LionAir had received a billion from the US Export-Import Bank to continue taking 737-900ERs, so maybe even with Boeing's latest (and Airbus' likely planned) reductions, deliveries for both manufacturers might still hold somewhat steady at least for 2009.  pray
