It appears that VS6 might still be here at yhz.....Flight aware shows the arrival but there is no indication of departure or impending departure.....hence, it's leaning towards a tech diversion.....or possibly the pilots timed out if they were on the ground here too long. I am heading out there now ( 10 min drive ) to confirm it's status and will advise....if someone doesn't do it in the meantime....it was quite a diversion from it's flightpath....cheers

Anything over two hours or so is probably technical.

Why do Aerospace Engineering students have to turn things in on time?

How is the site seeing in the area or the hotel accommodation, will the people have much to see or do to while away the hours?

wouldnt it have made more sense for it to divert to BOS, looking on flight aware where it started to turn and heads towards YHZ, it could have made it to BOS in about the same distance. I am saying this since in BOS they have VS staff and mx personel.

Pin shows location when problem came about. YHZ makes perfect sense.

VS6 is indeed still sitting in one of the de-icing bays ..hard to get info so far and there is still nothing on flight aware that shows a departure at 8:59 pm ....I know flight aware is not totally dependable so it could still happen .......maybe coincidental but there are two EXU flights leaving Miami at 5:10 pm for YHZ ...one a Gulf 5 and the other a G200 .....MX crew ? ....the area is very beautiful for sightseeing etc. but unfortunately a weather system is currently over us casting grey skies and rain and starting to cool down....possibility of some snow tonight .....however, the beer is also cold ...why not enjoy the Canadian layover ....the boss will understand ? ....cheers

Diversion to YHZ due to smoke in the cockpit... sounds eerily familiar.

There were no reports of smoke in the flight deck - this was not the reason the aircraft diverted.

So long 701, it was nice knowing you.

I see from the web site that this bird is called "Lady Penelope", shouldn't they send for Parker to fix it? Big grin

That article is incorrect. There was never any report of smoke in the flightdeck.
