Actually it's two questions so I'll try to be as clear as possible.

On 24 May I'm flying on UA940 from ORD to FRA. In my past experience at FRA, I've seen UA fly a mixture of 772A and 772ER aircraft though I'm not sure exactly where these aircraft are going as FRA has several UA routes. So my question is: Will the aircraft I fly on be a 772A or 772ER?

Also, I've gone onto seatguru.com and looked at the UA 772 seat maps. The problem is, there are 4 different tabs to click on, 777 WW1, WW2, WW3 (I can already scratch the US version as this flight is intl.)
Which version will I most likely be on and what is the difference between them?

FRAspotter

Easier to tell you the ones it WON"T be
They are:-
N210UA
N211UA
N212UA
N213UA
N214UA
N215UA
These are dedicated Transcon/Hawaii aircraft and almost never visit Europe

If you go to United.com you can view the seat map and compare with the ones on seatguru, it looks like it will be WW2. I can tell this because of the blocked off crewrest seats 17-20 HJ.

I agree. The 777 WW1 primarily flies to FRA from SFO, or as an aircraft swap, WW2 is primarily what FRA sees.

As of this time, F940 is scheduled to operate with a 777A, with a seating config of 12/49/197.
although it could be subbed closer in.

Just been on SFO-FRA a few days ago. It was a 777 WW2.

Back in January I flew ORD-FRA and it was a 777 WW2. I was happy as I was seated in 21J. Tons of legroom!

Future flights: CPH-BRU-CPHx2; CPH-BKK-MNL; MNL-GUM-HNL-LAX
