my guess, not long.

Their own aircraft seem to have disappeared from LTN.. usually it's a chartered white 737. Do they have any of their own colour scheme leased ones left.. or has the owner taken them all back?

this is either LY-AWF or LY-AWG which are the "new" B735 in the fleet ex FlyLAL/UA
they should receive in the next time a new, little simplified colour scheme

They still operate their B737-700 OM-NGG/NGJ/NGN/NGP plus 3 B733 (assume on wetlease) of Air Slovakia

I wouldn't bet on that - NE was able to increase the load factor considerably even in the past turbulent months.

There might be a new investor around as the stock market showed an upswing on the NE shares...

So if they fold in July/August they get all that additional revenue without any free flights?

Thats the chance that you take with any airline! If you've never tried them why not book a flight with them & give them a go? I've used them a lot & have found them a very good airline! I think with all the problems that they've had if they were going to go under then they would have gone by now! Anyway if you use your credit card to book flights with & the airline goes under you can claim the money back cant you?

I've read somewhere that these 2 are owned by Air Slovakia & leased to SkyEurope!

I've just returned from a return flight with them & we had an all white Bulgaria Air B737-300 LZ-BOV outbound (Luton-Poprad), then Air Slovakia B737-300 OM-ASD inbound (Bratislava-Luton). The outbound flight was Bulgaria Air pilots with SkyEurope cabin crew, while the inbound flight was Air Slovakia pilots with a mix of Air Slovakia & SkyEurope cabin crew! For me half of the fun on these flights were trying out new airlines!
While waiting at Bratislava for our flight the Bratislava-Kosice flight was using a Danube Wings ATR72, again another reason to book a flight on this sector as well!  Wink

LY-AWF and LY-AWG are dry leased aircraft (former owner/operator FlyLAL and previous/first one was United Airlines).
the new paintscheme to be applied will be this one: *click

The Air Slovakia B737-300s wet leased by NE are OM-ASC/ASD/ASF
from time to time Bulgaria Air aircraft supplement the fleet

Sure they where flying for NE? Danube Wings started end of March their schedule flights with 2 ATR72 from BTS to KSC, BSL, BLQ and will add seasonal routes in summer to DBV or SPU (among some others).

At worst, a few more hours. Today they are supposed to be repaying $25 million in loans to York Global Finance, which were deferred from the 15th of March.

http://ots.euroadhoc.com/irmeldung.p...uessel=OTA_20090315_OTA0004&ag=OTA

In addition, today they are finally supposed to be posting their financial results, which were postponed from the 30th Jan to the 17th of Feb, then to the 15th of March, and then again to today. Share price is currently €0.24, up €0.01 for today, but down from it's starting value of €6.00  crazy

If it's bad news then I really don't see this carrier operating for many more days.

They won't get any money out of it, only prevent them losing more money because they don't have to transport all those with free tickets around.

They have 4 737-7GL's left, the other 20? went back to GECAS.

I flew them last month and its a real nice airline, it would be a shame to see them go under....

Nothing's worse then flying the same registration twice, except flying it 4 times..

It must have been operating the SkyEurope Kosice flight, there were no other departures on the board at that time except for SkyEurope flights!

NE has informed late yesterday that payback of the loan from YORK has been deferred again, as well as publishing the financial results.  expressionless

http://www.skyeurope.com/Documents/q1_2009_financial_report_en.pdf

Having read the above, I frankly remain nervous about this company.

1. The FY 2008 figures are still Preliminary, (whereas the Calendar indicates that they should have been audited by 09/01/2009).

2. The Cash Flow was heavily out. I still remember my Accounts Tutor saying that companies fold due to lack of cash, not lack of profit.

3. Notes 4 and 5 are also worrying. Firms that can not meet their commitments always are.

The first quarter figures are equally worrying cash wise.

Notes 4 and 5 are slightly less so, only if reduced fuel and leasing costs will swing it. The problem is that cheaper fuel will benefit the sharks as well.

Well somebody from York Finance must have looked at the figures and given them the OK to defer, unless by doing so they are aware that the airline has no hope of paying back their creditors right now, so they might as well continue operation for now, so long as they incur no further debt.

It's a very messy situation though.

Assets
Property, plant and equipment 67,535 68,103
Long-term receivables 9,867 11,050
Deferred tax asset - 1,400
Total non-current assets 77,402 80,553
Expandable spare parts and inventories 1,543 1,560
Trade and other receivables 22,663 23,001
Prepaid expenses 2,745 6,641
Cash and cash equivalents 1,100 1,341
Total current assets 28,051 32,543
Total assets 105,453 113,096

All figures are 000's of Euros, with column 1 as 31/12/2008 and column 2 as 31/12/2007. The amount of actual cash is 1.1 M, of the balance 77.4M are essentially Fixed Assets and the rest debtors.

Given that most of it's assets could be difficult to turn into cash, York Finance could be in for the long term.
