A rumour regaring Thai at OSL is nothing new. However this time it's slightly stronger than normal and apparently Thai representatives are coming to Oslo to negotiate with both OSL and SGS (Scandinavian Ground Services) regarding a startup up a 5 weekly BKK-OSL

But we have to see, and I wouldn't open the Champagne bottle yet....

Interesting that they plan to send the 340-500 to Oslo. And that of all the European routes only CPH and FRA are profitable. But then again, being profitable these days is challenging.

Starting June 04, the MH 90/91 flights are equipped with 747-400. Nice!!

I agree those prices are extraordinary! Ex taxes, a return ticket ARN-EWR-ARN is SEK 400! Yes, four hundred Swedish money! About €38 or USD 50!

Other than TG's Star Alliance affiliation with SK, what is the connection between BKK and OSL that causes TG to believe the route is worth adding to their network at a startup frequency of 5x weekly with Airbus quad equipment? Also, am I correct in assuming that the routing indicated, BKK-OSL-BKK, means no "tag on" cities on flights TG954/955?

Not knowing "what is a typical fare" paid by leisure pax in the OSL-BKK market... Is there a reasonable liklihood that BKK-OSL-BKK 5x weekly can be sustained by TG with yields generated in a market predominantly comprised of leisure pax?
