Qantas has truly inconvenient arrival and departure times at FRA, both for passengers and spotters. That´s even worth considering another airline if going to Australia.
Arriving before 6 in the morning, leaving shortly before midnight. The same stupid schedule for years now. What do they think over there at QF? The LHR-SYD connection is better. Why don´t they change FRA like the schedule in London?
Nice to now there´s another special coloured 747 from Qantas. I hope it doesn´t look too much like advertising if its a Hilton-logo-jet! I would like to see a third aboriginal scheme, in orange like Australia´s soil!

There have been rumours about a hilton 747 because of the recent opening of the Melbourne Airport Hilton. Indeed I believe they showed a hilton 747 in their advertising (which led to the rumours), but I need to confirm this.
I have no idea what it would look like, but the Qantas logo in Blue would look cool as a once off and would certainly make a striking ad. for Hilton hotels!!!

Personally I think it would deface the image of Qantas making it too commercial and a real cop-out. I would be absolutley shocked to see QF stoop so low as to advertise on their aircraft, its not as if they cant afford themselves and need ads on the planes.

The schedule out of Frankfurt is to allow connections in Singapore (744) or Bangkok (743) to other ports in the Qantas network. Over the next few weeks there will be the occasional charter flown ex-FRA which will mean daytime movements.
Although I tend to agree with the advertising objection VH-OJG desperately needed a paint job!

You sure this isn't just the old rumour which keeps re-surfacing about every few months? It seemed to start after a QF 747 was seen on a billboard advertising the new Melbourne Hilton but this was just an artists impression...

For starters I hope it is true that there is another scheme coming, but every time an aircraft goes to Portland to get painted everyone assumes its coming out in a special scheme. By the way the hotel in question in Melbourne has got to be one of the ugliest pieces of construction I have ever seen in my life !!
