TAA MEL-ADL ~1975-76: What Aircraft Were Used?

According to my mother, my first flights were MEL-ADL return when I was around 18 months old (though it may have been a little later). Now, while my first memory is of sitting aboard the MEL-ADL flight, naturally I cannot recall what airline or aircraft I flew in. I would really like to know!

I believe I flew on TAA (Trans Australian Airlines), although Ansett is the other option.

I'm guessing a 727 could be one possibility - but is there anyone out there with better knowledge of MEL-ADL operations at the time?

Thanks!

Yep, DC-9's.
If you were really really lucky you might have scored a 727.
Whether you flew TAA or Ansett.
We started around the same time in the same places  Smile

Thanks guys! Though considering I have flown the DC-9 derived 717 in more recent times, I would rather it be a 727.  Smile

I have a Mar 1976 TN timetable in front of me, and it shows all flights being serviced by the DC9 with the exception of the flights that extended on to DRW (Flt 24 Mon and Thu and Flt 38 Fri) these flights on the days indicated being serviced by a 727. If you wish I can scan this timetable then email it to you.  Smile
