Does anybody knows where is J. Travolta's 707 at this moment? Just curious.

Cheers!

Any reason why?

What do you think...??? During that time he was shadowed like a hawk by the media, blackmailed by someone and was trying to deal with the death of his child. I was suprised it took him that long.

Well yes, that was then. I doubt that the media still shadows him like a hawk.

Blocking a tail number has nothing to do with FlightAware. It goes through the NBAA, which administers the BARR (Block Aircraft Registration Request program) for the FAA.

For the reasons already given and because he can. He's a high profile person who will attract media attention regardless of what has happened. If I was him, I would've blocked it a long time ago.

You will be surprised how much stamina the media has. It is sad that such a tragedy happens to a person who we could all count as a fellow aviation enthusiast. And surely the fact that the B707 carries his son's name "Jett" makes it also quite a painful reminder.

I truly wish the media and perhaps we (meaning people in general) could respect his and his family's need to grief privately. Those who had the opportunity to engage Mr John Travolta will surely remember his warmth, sincerity and indeniable passion for aviation. We got a dose of it when he was in Singapore as Qantas' ambassador.

I had the good fortune to arrive at an airport (KSAT) in a 182 with my family, saw JT's 707 there for heavy MX. Very impressive.

When time came for us to fly home several days later, arrived at the FBO and my 182 was parked next to JT's Gulfstream. Apparently, I missed meeting him by minutes, but the FBO staff said that he was warm and personable, not at all snobbish.

Nice to hear that.

Amen to that. If I lost either one of my children I would be a basket case.

Hard to hide the Mode-S code though and was noted on approach to BNE at around 21:35 April 13 where it stayed a couple of days before departing to AKL.

He was in Tahiti on 4/18 to 4/20 according to the Tahitipresse website:

"(Tahitipresse) - Movie star John Travolta made a stop over in Tahiti during the week-end. Travolta came alone and stayed two days at the Intercontinental Tahiti hotel."

Do the GIII wings give better range due to improved aerodynamics and larger fuel tanks?

Thanks for the info! That is a deceiving aircraft! haha

Someone landing on the runway then taking off with the house clearly visible:

Boy, what a dream place to live in! I don't mean the house, either, but the runway, the taxiways, and the aircraft around. Whoo! Now THAT's my kind of place! Big grin

Looks like it's about 90 miles NW of Orlando, Florida.

Airport (private):

DingDong, honey, please answer the doorbell!
25 Gr8Circle : From the pic posted (and thanks for that! ), the house doesn't seem to have any proper road leading up to it, just the taxiway......does he only fly
26 DingDong : I can just see it now. "Honey, please pick up some milk and bread at the store down the road." "Umm, hmm, how about the store near Orlando Internatio
27 Adam42185 : Anybody know what sort of equipment he would have for push back? Getting them into the "garage" seems easy, but how about getting them out? Who does t
28 EMBQA : Yes, there are roads leading up to the house. Just last year a group of kids took a supped up BMW M3 and raced down the runway at well over 100 miles
