Get your cameras ready, the American Airlines 777 oneworld logo jet is now out of the hanger. It looks just like the illustration from www.oneworld.com. I dont know yet which aircraft it is.

2 777s, 1 767 and 1 757 will get the livery. Too bad they didn't say in Jetnet which A/C that is. I'll try to find out tomorrow and post the routing.
Pretty smart looking if you ask me!

It looks bold and eye catching with the silver background.

It is a shame that all the OW members didn't do as AY have with one of their OW logo aircraft (OH-LQE) and put the tail livery of all the other members on the fuselage. It is a nice touch

They should have went my way  Wink - What do you guys think looks better, leaving partial part of their color scheme or leaving it bare metal, such as in the picture.

I like what they have done but prefer the picture of the partial colour scheme

I think AA's colors are ugly. Bare metal is fine with me, but the stripes are so dated, it's no longer timeless. I think it's time to do something new.

I don't like the look, but I can't agree that "red white and blue" is ugly...

Support Airliners.net - become a First Class Member!

99.9% sure that the 777 in the picture is ship 7AY - N791AN. At least its different but I would have left the stripes on the back...

I wish they would have left the stripes forward and aft of the oneworld logo. The painted gray nose really stands out more without the red/white/blue paint.

I dont think it looks nice. Looks rather dull if you ask me, but i guess there is not much you can do with AÁ's livery, which by itself is 'timeless', at least so they say..:S

I think it looks a little odd... wish AA would place the tail logos of the rest of the OW members like LAN and Finnair do. It would add a little somethings on the plain body

Looks cheep and unfinished in my eyes, like a company's taken it on short term lease and put a slap up version of their logo on it to save money.

I'd be irritated if I were a oneworld partner of AA's.

Those were special liveries and not the official OW livery. All OW members agreed to use this design as the official OW livery.

I don't think it looks nice either.

I am fine with the bare metal look with the stripe along the middle and all the text above the windows.

But having the bare metal with the enormous text sprawling the entire vertical section of the plane looks really bad.

Sorry, but I think the one they designed is so much better. I really like the shiny fuselage with no extraneous logo elements. It looks sophisticated...........

Maybe AA ought to take a look at a no-stripe design for the whole fleet.

I know, but AY and LA's variants looked much nicer and overall... completed.

25 RB211 : It looks alright. Not a Komen, but it definately stands out. The one thing I'm wondering is why didn't they put the other airlines logos in One World
26 AApilot2b : That is truly the sharpest looking of the Oneworld schemes and better looking than the boring Star Alliance colors. The other Oneworld aircraft have b
27 Pawsleykat : Oh No! That's horrible in my honest opinion. I think with a lack of cheatlines along the side it looks too bare and unimaginitive and simply boring. P
28 Ben175 : Looks like it hasn't even made it to the paint shop yet...
29 EBJ1248650 : I like your picture with the stripes better.
30 Captaink : HAHA, well said, apparently that is just the primer.. HAHA But it is true, the 777 is an awesome looking plane, and in AAs normal colours it isnt hal
31 LipeGIG : Its not so beautiful but also it's not ugly (thanks to the 777)
32 Post contains links Stealth777 : Not sure if there are other pictures out there yet, but saw this small picture of the forward section of the AA777 while looking at the news of the AF
33 Mirrodie : Wow, Im shocked that AA ditched the stripes. This could be the largest livery change an AA bird has been in ages! Part of me says its also an attempt
34 Post contains images BmiBaby737 :
35 EK413 : Very nice... It's about time OW apply a scheme to promote the alliance... EK413
36 AA777223 : I love, love, love the look of AA's 777s, hence my user name. However, I think this is not their best effort. I'm in total agreement on the temporary
37 Lucianflyboy : I love it!!! Can't wait to see her around DFW!!!!
38 SXDFC : Does anyone know if this bird was a complete re-paint or did they just remove the stripes and not re-polish it?
39 Contrails : It looks kind of strange, but I could get used to it. I prefer the one without stripes. Too bad they're not putting it on any 737's. I never see any
40 Alitalia744 : Wow, not overly impressed with the way it looks.
41 CHRISBA777ER : I love it - beautiful. I wonder if i'll get on her LHR-BOS next week?
42 OzarkD9S : I think the oneworld logo should be on the tail myself. The whole design seems rather slapdash to me. Not the worst thing I've ever seen but not parti
43 Yellowtail : The nacelles in AA red would be really nice...
44 Boeing767mech : No we only do 767's out of Boston now David
45 RB211 : I hate there won't be an ERJ in bare metal with the "One World" theme.
46 Post contains links Gulfstream650 : Youtube VIDEO: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2RdNBwf20fg
47 Andrewtang : If you looked close enough, you'll realise the gradient is missing on the oneworld logo. For other carriers like CX, QF, JL, BA, IB etc, it's all ther
48 Norcica : I took this ship FRA-DFW today (May 3). I don't exactly like the scheme, but it's almost striking in a way. IFE not working properly...second time tha
49 Ikramerica : I believe it requires white paint to create the gradient, and the AA bird is polished...
50 Airportmanager : Will any 757 or 767 Get that scheme or simmilar? It woudl be great to see them in GYE o UIO (GYE as I understand once the A300's are fased out, 767's
51 Panam330 : That is so ugly. Then again, I'm not a fan of almost every alliance livery, save for the *A livery on the UA widebodies.
52 A388 : Very nice livery in my opinion!! Will AA only paint four aircraft in this nice livery (two 777's, one 757 and one 738)? I sure hope they will paint mo
53 MGASJO : Minor correction. Two 777s one 767 and one 757 will be painted with the oneworld livery
54 FlyTUITravel : I like it - Gives a fresh outlook on a very old colourscheme !
55 A388 : Thanks for the correction A388
