They might be old and have old analogue cockpits but their helicopters have been exported to many countries around the world. Don't forget the video at the bottom of the photos!!!

While I don't disagree with you - many of the Soviet aircraft, both fixed-winged and rotary, are impressive in performance characteristics and reliability, one has to admit that the countries they have been exported to, were usually at one point "friendly" countries with the unjustified words "democratic republic" in their names. Not many of them serve with countries that can be considered to be "Western" throughout the 20th century.

Last night while doing some internet search I realized that the US 6th Special Ops. is using Mil Mi-8 for training also.
