I just read the latest timetable on the United website, and it said that Expressjet is now a United Express carrier. When did that come into effect?

The timetable said it starts June 3rd...

Just out of curiousity, are they going to paint the aircraft in UA colors for such a short contract?

As much are Rjs are crap this might be good. I'm tired of commuting on Go(away) Jet and Mesa. More of a "reputable" Rj airline might do some good.

Have you had bad experiences with G7? I live in St. Louis, and they operate a pretty big chunk of the UA flights here, and I've never had a problem with them.

Obviously, the labor situation is a different story.

I think they're just going to use the generic ExpressJet livery planes.

Sad for you!
Skywest is 1st then GoJet in terms of Customer Satisfaction for UAX. I only hear good things about GoJet. Everyone bashes them for the pilot stuff, but overall, they are a great carrier to handle and work with.

BTW,
Shuttle/Chatutauqua are next, then Trans states, then Colgan and finally, yep, Mesa!

I am glad ExpressJet is doing this again, 3 times longer this time, hope it leads to the end of some of our Mesa flying.

Last flight on them......

One flight attendant (economy) served one glass of water and had the entire service complete before reaching cruise (28,000). Then her and the "first class" flight attendant talked in the forward galley for the remaining 1 hour plus of the flight. Now I don't care about service (or expect it on UAX) and for all I know it could have been their 5 or 6th leg of the day but what really got me is they actually had to bust their butts to prepare the cabin for landing and got that finished by about 2-3 miles out (about 1000AFE). I'm not bashing them as persons but if your going to retreat to the galley for the entire flight to talk, at least have all the crap picked up before doing so. That way you won't have to rush through both the trash pick up and the safety check. I mean they both looked like a deer in the headlights for a second when they realized how close to landing we were.

If I had to choose, I like Transtate the best.

I had an air whisky F/A serve our water on a MKE-ORD route and and still had time to clean up cabin by arrival time. CRJ 200 flight nearly full. NOt bad for a 14 minute flight.

As much as I loathe Mesa, I did have a good experience with them last year. On the short hop from ATW (Apppleton, WI) to ORD, the FA served both snacks and a choice of soft drinks. Seeing my ZW badge on the seat next to me, she gave me a free Tanqueray and tonic.  Smile

I had bad experiences with Trans States DEN-MKE. Rude F/A, beotch I would even call her. She was not very affable. I was afraid to ask for a napin for my kid. Another passenger in front of me asked for something, she smirked and sighed visably then got what was asked of her, no smile or a here you go. She was terse in attitude and body language.
I flew Skywest ORD-YYC and the crew was outstanding.

My girlfriends mom is a flight attendant for SkyWest, and I have always been impressed with SkyWest. Also, she is a damn good flight attendant!

Correct me if I am wrong - but aren't GoJet and Transtate owned by the same holding company or owner? I was under the impression that GoJet was formed as a seperate carrier so they could fly bigger a/c for United than the pilots union with AA would allow Transtates to fly under thier own operating certificate?

Maybe the pilot labor issues are still crazy because of the whole non-union thing, but ultimately they are the same generalized company.
