This is now public so I can share this info with everyone on here. They are expanding from Somerset, KY's airport. Here is a link to the news story in the Somerset newspaper this morning. This should be very intresting!

Lexy, what is the connection between these guys and Air Azul? I know that SME-BNA was on Air Azul's route map last time I looked, but I thought Air Azul flew bigger aircraft than the Metro they seem to be using for these SME routes.

Air Azul was basically a front. An image for Locair. Locair operated the flights and all and have now just basically gone at it on their own with their name and all included. Air Azul is no longer a part of the equation from what I understand. It's kind of complicated on the outside looking in but this is the best I can gather.

The way I understand it is:

Air Azul is a Part 380 operator (Public Charters) and Locair is its carrier on the BNA lane (Metro aircraft), while it contracted its NY and BWI flights out to Sun Country.
