Need On DL MD88 Interior, Seat Config

Just traveled on DL from BUF-ATL then ATL-BUF last week. My friend seems to remember the first class having a config of only 1-2 thus leaving a straight shot back to coach (no classic jog to the left when entering coach). Any ideas?

DL MD-88s are 2-2 in first.

You can look at Seatguru and see it. I don't think it's a straight shot, since the coach seating is 3-2.

thats what I thought, I looked at seat guru and only found the one seating config, he thought that maybe there was a different one that guru didn't list, thought it was worth the question.

The MD-88 is, and always has been, 2-2 in first. It's way too wide of a cabin to use 1-2 in first. CRJs use 1-2 in first.

The Delta Connection CRJ-900's and Embraer 170/190's have a 1-2 layout in the first class cabin.

Current flight schedules show all M-88's on the ATL-BUF route.
