Mexicana operates 22 727s and a 23rd is out of service. The delivery dates range from 1978 to 1981. 20 of them are -264s, which leads me to believe they were originally delivered to Mexicana. The 21st and 22nd are -2A1s which is indicative of VASP. The 23rd is currently out of service and is a -287 (Aerolineas Argentinas). Sorry to be so vague, but I'm not a Mexicana expert.

As a side note, I have jumpseated about ten million times on Mexicana 727s between MEX and LAX or MEX and SFO. They are wonderful aircraft, lovingly maintained, and there are few people in the industry friendlier than Mexicana pilots. I just can't say enough good things about them. I'm glad they're coming to the Star Alliance.
