How old are their DC-9's?

What about their maintainance -- do you think the airline is reliable? By the way, what are the regulations within the EU for foreign airlines and equipment (I think some Russian aircraft types are banned)?

Last time i checked the DC 9 was still a western aircraft ...

It´s a bit weird (in particular considering the fuel consumption) but they are certainly hush kitted (otherwise they would not be allowed to fly into the EU ! )

Maybe the DC 9-51 is just an interim solution before they get more efficient aircraft but still it has to be seen if they really come to the EU with this kind of a/c ...

If, politically, you can consider Turkey and Western Russia a part of Europe then Georgia should be as well.

Good to see the expansion, I wonder if they'll have traffic rights on TXL-BUD and FCO-SAW and SMI-SAW?

Funny you should mention this, my dad crossed the American Border a while back, and the customs agent was convinced he was born in the State of Georgia. Guess where he was born though

According to their web-page:
"Direct flights from Tbilisi to New York, and New York to Tbilisi are coming soon. Along with the new route opening to New York, Sky Georgia also plans on opening flights to over fifty (  Wow!  Wow! )different Asian and European destinations, including Peking and Frankfurt."

Who are they going to code-share with then, because no way could the population of Georgia support such services if they were all incredibly affluent, let alone incredibly poor and just recovering from a damaging war with Russia.

It seems very difficult to book flights on SkyGeorgia, I'm trying to book a TBS-KBP flight, but can't get through to their reservation system to confirm the booking.
