Starting May/18th , Egyptair is moving its Domestic flights ( from Cairo to Hurghada and Sharm El Sheikh ) to The newly inaugurated Terminal 3 . Other Domestic flights will follow by May/20th .
International Egyptair flights will start moving to T3 in the first week of June .
T3 is used by Star Alliance Airlines serving CAI like Singapore Airlines , THY , Lufthansa , Austrian , Swiss and Egyptair .
T3 was officially inaugurated on April/27/2009 .

It was really time to improve the MS domestic flights service from CAI. I took a flight CAI-ASW last week (I think it was from term 1 hall 3) and I've never seen such a mess. Luggages everywhere, a single very small & crowded boarding lounge with 300+ pax. Only 1 X-ray checking point Very low level of security (everybody was going in & out of the boarding lounge and nobody seemed to care). No screen information, no announcements, several flights boarding at the same time at the same gate....
But at the moment it seems that the flights to LXR, ASW and ABS will remain in this outdated terminal
