Korean Air Lines planes are very pretty indeed, although I thought awhile back they were looking into introducing a new color scheme?

Well the Korean Air titles are much larger!

Beautiful. I love how new engines have these blue or purple tailcones for a few months at least.  Smile

Have they announced where they'll be flying them? I was very excited a couple years back when the subbed a 773A on my SYD-ICN light unexpectedly. My first and only 773 ride to date.

Can't wait to see the interior, as KE is introducing new first and business class seats on this aircraft. Also, the larger titles look somewhat better on the 77W than on the 772.

KE81/82 ICN-JFK-ICN will be the first. BKK was supposed to be the first, but they changed it.

I don't think the larger font looks bad. They might be making all the titles bigger in preparation for the A380 they're getting in a couple years so everything matches. I remember (hopefully correctly) that SQ did something similar when the brought the A380 on-board. Something about it bringing positive energy of something with everything 'balanced.'

I assume this is substituting for a 744? (Note that I'm asking.)

As always the 77W looks gorgeous.

Agreed. Doesn't look too bad. I am sure that this small adjustment is mainly because of the A380.

Honestly, I'm quite surprised JFK will be first to see the KE 77W. With a huge daily presence at LAX, it puzzles me as to why Korean wouldn't rush to put their new product into the super profitable/high-yielding market that is Seoul-Los Angeles-Seoul....

I'm sure it's just a matter of time before Los Angeles sees these big blue birds, but the question is, how long?

The B773A was a common sub on the ICN-SYD route... I recall KE operated the B744, B773A, B772 and now sadly downgraded to a A330...

Correct... SQ amended the titles with the introduction of the A380 and not to mention the removal of the emblems on the engine cowlings...
I was under the impression KE was to introduce a new sleek scheme with the introduction of the A380? Correct me if I am wrong...

KE's 77W will fly ICN-JFK as KE081/082 and SGN at the same time. They just cancelled BKK one. Next 77W flight will be another JFK flight KE085/086. I'm surprised to see that they don't fly to LAX first which is the biggest market for Korean people.

Korean Air has released pictures of their new seats installed on the 77W.

I think that those economy seats on 77W is exactly same one that installed on last 6 772s (HL7750/7751/7752/7764/7765/7766).
This is even newer version than new economy seats on 744s or first three 772s(HL7733,7734,7743).

Just as long as they don't pull the 744 out of ATL. Beautiful bird though!

Airline photography. Whether they're fully clothed, butt naked, having issues or confused I'm taking pictures!!
