Adding to their TLC-LAX service commencing in July, Concesionaria Vuela Compania de Aviacion, S.A. de C.V. (dba Volaris) has applied with the DOT for commence GDL-LAX this summer.
This goes along with what Volaris had mentioned to local authorities that it plans to expand frequencies and destinations rapidly from LAX beyond the initial single TLC flight.

They were uanble to at the time as the government of Mexico had yet to designate them as the 3rd authorized Mexican carrier on the route and this approval did not come till late April.
(6A was listed as the 3rd airline and Volaris had to have this non-used authority stripped).

Me says either an extra flight will be added, or a new city announced.
Months ago we were told Y4 plans 3 daily service to launch, so I'd say something is in works.

Sure do. We have around 114-120 flights a day, depending on the schedule.
I don't get one thing. The TLC-LAX flight arrives to LAX at 1245pm which means they can virtually catch or connect to anywhere as a WN codeshare. But the GDL gets in at 1045pm with our last outbound flight to anywhere departing around 930pm. No chance of a connection there.

Done anyone know if Volaris will be offering flights out of MTY to the US and maybe/hopefully Canada anytime soon? I have used them a few tims out of MTY and the service and aircraft are great.
