Why No US 767 To BDA This Summer?

In the summer, there is usually a 762 that flies PHL-BDA. This summer there is just a daily 320, in which I am kind of disapointed. Could there be a schedule change and it will go 767? Or was the route performing that bad? Or did they take it off to do CDG from CLT.

It probably has more to do with the utilization of the 767 fleet to Europe.

BDA was never a good utilization for the 767, frankly it's quite a waste. The CLT-CDG flight needed the aircraft.

Whether a quick hop with the 767 was a "good use" or not probably depended a lot on whether there was a lot of cargo on the route. They were using the A319 from LGA until the past couple of years, and it was a decent ride. I think B6's entry probably made it a less-profitable route fare-wise from LGA. From US's PHL hub, if there was enough cargo then the 767 may have made sense. It's such a short flight that the A320 isn't going to be straining to lift lots of fuel, notwithstanding the fact that the alternate is probably a lttle farther away than usual... so if the cargo doesn't bulk out, it's probably an adequate replacement.
