I haven't heard anyone mention this. The announcement was made today:

So now we have how many carriers flying between Germany and Israel?

Great news! I hope the timing will be alright, since I try to avoid flights that arrive and/or leave TLV in the middle of the night.

I guess then I'll stick with LY (although they use SXF instead of TXL, and I live much closer to TXL) or with LH with a connection in FRA or MUC...

A319, twice weekly? is that a joke? this route can easily fill a bigger a/c with better frequencies, even with the fierce competition.
that said, I do remember that BD also started with one daily flight of A320, and today only one year later they are far ahead from that... so good luck AB. I'm for one am very happy to see them starting TLV.

and now also AB. very impressive, especially when we take into account that many passengers also fly to TXL with the likes of LX, OS, KL, SN and LO.
