Should Britannia adopt a more up to date livery. I like the current livery but I just feel it need updating. Although now part of the Preussag group I am in no way suggesting a Hapag Lloyd livery. Keep it British ! maybe just replace the phased blue and white stripes with broad red and yellow cheatline and make the rest of the blue a lighter shade ? this would be in keeping with the cabin crew uniform which looks cool.

The aircraft is on a short-term lease from Air 2000 to Britannia to cover their UK programme because Britannia's B767-300s are heavily involved in the Hajj programme on behalf of Garuda Indonesia.
The aircraft is G-OOAO and will be returned to Air 2000 later this month, the very short duration of the lease is why they haven't applied anything more than small stickers by the entry doors...

I have thought this- hmmm the "Britannia" titles need a slight modifictaion- maybe not so fat- I keep thinking what could they do for the body of the aircraft- and I just cant think of what to paint there, the lines look so classey but I do have an idea fo rthe tail, ok everyone knows the new Barclays Bank logo? thebird but offset with shadows and different shades of blue? that would work very well with the Britannia Tail. The thing is though- look at its rivals, excluding Monarch they all have bright holiday orantated schemes, Britannia at a glance to anyone who doesn't know it, it would look like a scheduled airline.
I'll scan through some ideas, and paint a FS2000 767 with my ideas take a pic and post it on here but this afternoon.

Britannia is a great name for an airline. The history behind "Britannia" is interesting. They should upgrade their colourscheme because the colour blue is a bit boring. With just few changements and keeping their all over identity they could bring more life in it. I prefer to have a painted portret of Britannia on the tailfin (like Pharao but than just in ton-sur-ton blue colours). Have you ever seen how those current Britannia striping is built up. There are thin yellow/orange lines against the blue lines. That's a tough paintshop to do!!
Deep in my heart I would like to make a new striking scheme for them...but I'm soo busy.

OK, I have painted it, sadly, the only aircraft I could find which would support a 24bit textures was a 717, but it looks great anyway. the tail is as I suggested, and has the original Britannia on the tail- I think a painted portrait would be great but I just cant do that well on the computer.
on the fuselarge I incorperated BY738's idea of bringing the new cabin crewuniform colours onto the fuselarge.
Reply to this and tell me what you think- post new suggestions and critism and then I can update the livery for the better so we then get our ideal Britannia livery!
what do you think?
The Britannia stripes are applied by hand using templates all around the aircraft

BY757, I love those ideas, such effort.
The only thing which I am not sure about is the tail scheme, just ever so slightly busy. I love the forward fuselage effect though repeated on the engines.
If I was as skilled I would try.

For a student between 13-15 years old it is adorable to see the work of a new born designer. I have to admit I do not like your Britannia colourscheme (that's my personal choice) but I admire your spirit to become a true airline designer. Go on, go on BY757! I have started at the same way like you are doing now... watch my site what this all can lead to. Success with your efforts and go studying at the art academy; if you want and work hard you definitely will become a good and successfull designer!!

BY757 you are really challenging me to join your efforts for a new Britannia livery but I simply cannot find time left. Few weeks ago I searched the internet and the library here in Tilburg for a portret of Britannia. Alas I did not succeed. I should contract an artist to paint me one because I have some fine ideas for a new Britannia.
Greetings from the otherside of the Channel.
