Hello guys,

I am sure you guys can tell me that.

I just saw a QR 340 in Hamburg. It was parked at the LH Technik (maintenance) hangar. Is it getting new interiour or what are they doing with it there?

Thanks.

I believe it may be getting the on board "lounge" removed.

They are being replaced with seating IIRC  Smile

Could be, yeah.

Do they use normal QR 340s for that? There is another 744 parked at the LH Technik which more looks like Government or private 744. Couldn't get the registration though.

QR A346 are normal pax planes, A342, A343, and A345 are Amiri flight (VIP).

It was either 343 or 342, just saw it a very short time after landing and then I was sitting on the wrong side and couldn't see it anymore. So I guess it is a VIP flight and get's new interiour or update.

Looked like this (saw it a very short time):

I know, it is 2 different aircrafts. The 744 as shown above and the 340 of QR.

Hi Wilco,

It could be that the aircraft was there for some maintenance as the Amiri Dept. has a contract with LH Technik. Last year the A345 was at VIE fro some weeks as OS Technik is doing the checks on the A346 for LH and so the A345 ended up at VIE.

A lot of Arab VIP A340s get service at LH tech in HAM. The one you saw was either A7-HHK or A7-AAH

Sultan of Brunei 744 V8-ALI. Maybe he is buying the Alsterhaus. Or the plane gets a check there, too. (LH has 744s as well, so they might service other people's, too.)

It's A7-AAH, saw it in the hangar last week.
