Any News About LHs Possible Return To BOG?

A couple of months ago there was a thread about LH returning to BOG and closing CCS instead. Conclusion in that thread was basically that it is unlikely that LH will close CCS (they now deploy a larger a/c etc.) and that a return to BOG is certainly possible. Does anybody have new information on the likelihood of FRA-BOG nonstop on LH?

LH could benefit from BOG services, there is only 3 European carriers serving BOG (AF, A7, IB, and AV has their services to MAD and BCN). So there wouldn't be so much competition.

Could KL start this route? They seem to do quite well on South American routes.

Isn't AV also thinking about resuming flights to FRA?

AV used to fly to FRA, CDG and LHR but shut tehm all down in 2001 -02. The LHR slots were sold to BA for 8-9 million USD. They should still serve all 3.

Yes, but I think that LHR and FRA should have priority over CDG because no airline currently offers direct flights between BOG and the first two cities. AV may find it difficult to compete with AF, which is well entrenched on the BOG-CDG route.
