VLM Airlines' brand and their blue-white aircraft colours will disappear off the market soon. The airline which was sold lately to Air France KLM, has been merged with Cityjet and will be re-branded as "Cityjet".
The Vlaamsche Luchttransport Maatschappij (Flemish Airtransport Company) or VLM started with a modified ex-BusyBee livery: using the yellow and black smartly as the colours of Flanders with the Flemish black lion on the tail. Later the VLM brand was restyled by Lila Design (http://www.liladesign.com) to VLM Airlines and got a blue-white-gold scheme changing the Flemish lion into the national Belgian golden lion (with a feathered tail). Now the airline will adopt the Cityjet colours soon.

Shame to see VG leaving from the skies. They are definitely above average service level with competitive prices. WX can't beat that. I've heard several complaints about VG customers who now end up on shabby WX RJ85's...

Yeah they offer RTM and ANR, maybe they could add more routes especially as Manchester is quite an important city.

I can't see how as CityJet has a larger fleet and is already branded in line with AF.

I flew LCY-MAN last week just to experience it before it went for good. It was superb!! 2 extremy friendly crew (dutch?) sweets on take off, a tasty ciabatta ham sandwich, tea, coffee or juice (wine on request) comfy seats which tilted rather than just reclined (very nice once u got the hang of it!)
An absalutely superb UK domestic flight from a quality airline! You shall be sorely missed!!
You have obviously never flown on a CityJet RJ85 then - the aircraft are in super condition, are well maintained, and the trim is kept 'as new'. The WX service is excellent also.
Does God get peeved if you dont use a capital 'g' ?

Absolutely. Its the Fokkers that are the older technology. Although I must say I do love VG's F50's also.
But saying the RJ85's are "shabby" is simply untrue.

Well it ins't only about the colour scheme.... I think that this another pretty bad decision of AF/KL along the line with their current adjustment's of flying blue and others.... I can't see how branding VLM in Cityjet will improve VLM resulst in any way, rather the oposite.... I know many people who love(d) VLM and were very loyal to that airline.
