How long is the stop in RUN? Is it interesting for passengers going to SYD, or are they two different flights wit bad connexions? I hope this will get the high EU-Australia fares down.

I don't know about EU-Australia fares, but Australia-EU fares are about rock bottom right now, it is hard to imagine them getting much lower and having the airlines survive.
As an example of the current state of affairs Mrs Gemuser & I are booked on EK SYD-DXB-VCE & return in the first two weeks of October (Spring break, high season ex OZ) for $A1300 (about E675) return all taxes & charges included. That's about as low as a fare has ever been @ about 3.6c/km. ($A cents too, its around 2.78c/km in $US cents)
As the round trip via RUN is 4,000km further than via DXB, some how I don't think UU is going to be a price leader on the Kangaroo route, at least until they have there 800 pax A380 in service, then who knows?

This flight goes from CDG to NOU via RUN and SYD. There is no aircraft change the whole way through. Very exotic routing!
