And once they realise how much they'd have to pay for a decent amount of slots it won't get any further.....

(yes i know new entrants can get slots, but they would be right at the back of the queue for the worst times imaginable).

Harsh, but it does sound more like a name for XL2, and it sounds like a daft name in general.

A twice a day service might work. One that arrives in LHR before 10am and the other around 7pm might work. Any more than that and they'll be flying empty seats.

True. They need an 0730 ish dep from MME to get to LHR around 0830 then leave LHR 1830 ish and get back to MME at 1930
But even if they could get slots, the early one is at one of the busiest periods at LHR therefor the most expensive slots.
I worked for BD at MME years ago, when we got the fist DC9
We had 5 flight a day each way MME-LHR-MME and at least 3 of those were always full both ways
How things change

Hmmm....

More chance of Newcastle playing in the Premiership next season.

44 seats on a B733?

Should have nabbed some of the ex-Flybe Jungle Jets if this was going to be even remotely serious.

True. Sooner the north east realise NCL is gonna be the only airport that has a chance of doing anything, the better
