Yesterday I was flying from MIA to FRA and when we were at the runway 8R running to take off I saw to the left of the runway 8L a Qatar A340-500, is this a diverted plane or a lease return, can someone tell me why this Aircraft was at MIA? Just a curiosity.

Its flown by QR for the Qatari Royal family so I pressume it was just there for a visit. Ive read here on a.net its regularly in PHX(?) for medical reasons so maybe it just stopped off in MIA for a few days on its way home?

Dublin, where Sam Maguire will be coming home to in mid September

This time around, the plane didn't come from PHX, but JFK with a stop enroute in CLE (to visit Mayo). Just some "tourists" traveling in style.

Can't find the thread about it, but it was pretty recent.

I've got $h*t to do

Wow, that is what I call travel in great style. I wish I could do it insteat of flying in LH or LX!!! Business clas is nice, but that aircraft is a lot nicer.

The Mayo Clinic is in Rochester, Minnesota, not CLE. You probably mean the Cleveland Clinic which has a similar reputation.

I'd call them more than ''just'' tourists. ''just tourists'' don't require police escorts, 5 floors of hotels and chicas everynight waiting! Bienvenidos in Miami, welcome to Miami.

Nope, she left yesterdat 06/02. She's so big Signature Aviation couldn't handle her, so she was deplaned at UPS. That was weird. I believe she did the same yesterday, but not 100% sure.

BTW, a party it was. Not bad a time for the kids first time in America!!!!
