It refers to the 1988 B 747-400. If it is the new ER/LR version, I think they will add the ER/LR at the end of it.

All I know is......... Northwest has ordered a few and Thai has ordered about 2 B 747-400s.

Hope this answers your question.  Smile

AFAIK, Qantas is the only customer for the B747-400LR. They have six on order.

Qantas has ordered 6 on its own. Another French Carrier has ordered a few as well. So the B 747-400LR has recieved more than 6 orders.

United Airline,

In another post you are asking others about the B747-400LR/B747-400ER. Now you are so sure what it is!

By the way, Boeing calls the longer range 744 the 747-400ER.

According to their site, there is only 1 customer for the B747-400ER. It IS Qantas who have ordered 6.

Info correct up to March 2001.

http://active.boeing.com/commercial/orders/summaries.cfm

Click on the link. Set the 'Model' field to '747-400' and press search. See the summary table for B747-400ER.

I'm sure Juanchito is asking about the -ER.
