SO interview I was prepped for:

- Why do you want to be a Second Officer?

- Isn't it going to piss you off to be lowest in command?

- Won't you get annoyed watching the Captain and FO do the most exciting parts of the job?

- Do you have any ambition to move to FO and Captain?

- So when you get to Captain, that's it, right? No further ambition?

- etc etc

Well VS have just got rid of a few guys so they wouldnt be taking on for quite some time IMO, plus you need in the region of 3000hours before they will even consider you for an interview!

BA also are looking to downsize in the next year or so (reduce number of staff in the company) and have had a recruitment freeze for about a year already! However BA will look at low houred pilots if recommended by the flight training organisation.

The only interview I've had and got offered the job asked me questions about me/my family/my friends/my training then we got onto talking about getting pissed and holidays!

Have a look at ppjn.com for info on the current market.

Errr, i thought that BA accepted pilots from training! Why do VS not do the same! Does that 3000 hours have to be on an A340/747 !! What about going to the Oxford Aviation Academy
