Questions About The Largest At EWR And JFK

I know CO is the largest at EWR and maybe the NYC area in terms of nonstop destinations and passengers carried 420 daily depatures to 147 destinations, but who is the 2nd and 3rd at EWR? Who is the largest at JFK is it 1. DL 2. B6 3. AA, and how many destinations served?

Go to the PANYNJ website and look at the statistics. CO is largest at EWR and NYC, B6 is largest at JFK, followed by DL and AA.

In terms of passengers, JFK for the year to March 2009 was

1. JetBlue 42.5%
2. Delta 17.81%
3. American 14.90%

In terms of passengers, EWR for the year to March 2009 was

1. Continental 51.58%
2. Expressjet 13.21%
3. American 5.56%

In terms of passengers, LGA for the year to March 2009 was

1. American 19.76%
2. Delta 16.21%
3. US Airways 8.88%

These figures are for the mainline airline - regional airlines operating under their own certificate will be be listed under that certificate (look at EWR for instance).

JFK -

JetBlue - 25.3 %
Delta - 17.1 %
American - 15.1 %
Comair - 3.8 %
British Airways - 2.7 %

EWR -

Continental - 55.6 %
ExpressJet - 10.3 %
Colgan Air - 4.0 %
American - 3.8 %
United - 2.9 %

LGA -

American - 19.1 %
Delta - 12.5 %
US Airways - 8.5 %
United - 6.7 %
Northwest - 6.7 %

And if you want to the see overall percentage rankings for all 4 NY airports i.e. JFK, LGA, EWR and SWF, they are:

Continental - 19.2 %
JetBlue - 13.2 %
American - 12.2 %
Delta - 11.1 %
Continental Express - 3.5 %

Just bear in mind however that these are just the figures for this March and are not necesarilly a good representation of the entire year, but nonetheless provide at least a decent indication.
