Well, apparently we have a fan  Wink

Paris Hilton recently flew on an Emirates First Class suite and posted very positive reviews about her experience on her Twitter account, which apparently is followed by about 200,000 fans worldwide. She posted a picture of her posing in front of the Emirates logo on the plane, as well as posting other comments such as "this airline is amazing" and "so comfy" and "huge" (when describing the confines of the cabin).

Media experts estimate that her informal endorsement of Emirates is worth about $1.5 million, and could go up to $3 million if there were to be any media fall out from this. Emirates confirmed that there was no formal endorsement deal in place.

Well, all opinions about her aside, glad to see she enjoyed her flight...interesting that a Twitter endorsement can be worth that much!

I think she flew EK to DXB for the annual Paris Hilton's My New BFF trip.
This is her second season of the show and last year they went to Japan.
I think that they flew United to Tokyo. I love that show! Lol

Considering her previous appearances on the internet (which I of course never ever saw let alone downloaded) I really doubt that an airline from Middle East would select her for PR issues.

True. But who would have thought Uniqon Emirates would foot the bill for the production. It actually required Dubai ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum's permission. Which he gave.

Personally, I would want to see her find her new BFF from some gang....or maybe a prison (just to keep it interesting).

I had no idea this crap was still popular.

I would be extremely pleased to see Paris Hilton doing an ad for Emirates. It would be amazing. It's relatively uncommon to have celebs posing for airlines-it's been done before, I'm sure, but it would be nice to bring that tradition back.

Contrary to popular belief, she is not THAT rich. She's not worth hundreds of millions or anything. Just $30-40m or so.

If you read the thread in regards to the life of a EK flight crew memeber you can see why the Sheik would allow her to endorse them. They are much more into looks than intelligence from what it appears and they are very uptight about it. Geez. Having to apply lipstick every fifteen minutes and if you're caught not keeping up on it, they will have the purser on your heals immediately.

I wonder what her main airline of choice is? I supposse she flies AA LAX-JFK all the time.

Anyway, that is just an estimate from Forbes and we all know that these Millionaires/Billionaires actually have more cash than what quoted by Forbes.

Anyway, that is just an estimate from Forbes and we all know that these Millionaires/Billionaires actually have more cash than what quoted by Forbes.

Actually it's the other way around, they usually have substantially less liquid assets (cash and convertable to cash) than their stated worth.

97% of grandfather Barron Hilton's money will go to the family charity. Paris will inherit something between 10 and 20 million when he dies. She actually has more ready cash from the trust fund while he is alive, but that is only a few hundred thousand per year.

Paris does exceedingly well though because she never spends her own money. Every trip, every hotel stay, every set of clothes, every party - someone else pays for the expenses and almost always she is paid a hefty fee to make the trip.

Since she is so money conscious, I would be very surprised that Emirates did not provide some compensation to her. Possibly the airline provided her transportation and her six or seven person entourage for free.

There was a hefty seven figure payment to bring the My BFF production to Dubai.

The girl actually takes in about 6 to 8 million dollars a year in 'income' from her TV, movie, music, endorsement and appearance fees.

Whatever anyone says about her, the girl has done an amazing job of turning nothing into a danged good income. She has also worked it to provide her with a lifestyle much more expensive than her assets and income.

Normally when most of us spend beyond our means, we go broke. Paris keeps getting richer, though I fear her greatest enemy in the long run will be the IRS.

It is very true. Yes she would have stood to earn a ton from her grandfather's passing actually the entire family would have however because of her shenanigans and her embarrasements to the family, her Grandfather donated almost the entire family trust to charity. He stated that basically he saw what absolute money does and wanted to make it so the next generations had to work to make there own way. But her father is worth quiet a bit. All in all she leads a life style that only 3-4% of the worlds population can. And usually Forbes estimates are lower than what the true worth is.

As EK crew I resent that comment. It's not as though we're a group of dumb bimbos running around with a silver tray in our hands not having a clue as to what's going on. You are quoting that WSJ article that grossly overstates the luxuries we enjoy and understates how hard the job actually is. Don't get me wrong, I love my job and my colleagues and the airline does treat us well, but I have yet to attend a spraying champagne on bikini clad bodies party. And please, a retouch every 15 minutes!? How long does the meal service alone take - that would be a funny sight...stop midway with carts in the aisle and apply lipstick. I usually retouch my lipstick just prior to boarding, probably once in flight right after I'm done with my rest shift (on long hauls) and once prior to top of descent. That works out to be once every 3-4 hours. Hardly the 15 minutes the article talks about, and no, I've never been chewed out by the Purser for this.

I'd guess VX. I've seen some pictures of her with crew and I think even SRB in those white leather First Class recliners on Getty Images and the celebrity thread I started there were sightings of her on VX's LAX-JFK flights.

I doubt Emirates paid for it, the production company that was sending her to Dubai probably did.

Actually, it says in the Simple Life she is the heir to a $350 million fortune.

A lot of people don't give her any credit. She is an amazing person and on every episode of the Simple Life she helps out with the family and always buys them a gift that will make their life easier. All of the families always say what a pleasure it was to have her stay at their home. GO PARIS!!
