The smaller planes get lost (or ignored) in the Paris Air Show Thread... and I'm a Twotter fan so here is the news:

Viking Air is at the Paris Air Show and doing well:

Viking Air has developed a Search And Rescue (SAR) version of the Twin otter - called the Guardian 400, with up to a 10 hour mission time.

I also understand that there has been 1 Twin Otter sold to an Unidentified Customer - without a formal announcement.


GAL also becomes the Viking Air Twin Otter representative for the middle east area of the world.


Of additional Interest: Viking air has also announced that they have certified and are now offering a turbo-prop conversion for the original DH-3 Otter. Your choice of a Pratt & Whitney PT6A-34 or PT6A-35 turbo prop engine, along with a new cowl and other items.

Sounds like Viking Air is having a great Paris Air Show. Long live the Twotter...
