I'm puzzled as to why nobody has brought this up here yet:
National Public Radio News just reported that US 27 nearly crashed this morning. Apparently it missed a truck that was sitting on the runway by a few seconds only during the take-off run. Looks like the take-off was not aborted, US 27 arrived in PHX on time. Initial blame goes to the truck driver, who may have been on his cell phone.

Details from the local Boston CBS-TV affiliate - sounds like the angels were looking out for US27 today... thankfully.

There was a very brief mention of it on Boston Airport facebbok page as well.

Well it certainly is not the flight crews fault. I bet they looked like this:  eyepopping

Nice reporting though...."this mornings crash", "halting all aircraft construction" (I am sure B & A is glad to know this).  banghead
